No Turning Back

Wednesday, November 17th, 2004

Dedicated to the soldiers who bravely fight for America’s freedom.

Forward they march,
Ready to win the war.
Ever hopeful,
Ever ready to their core.
Daring to believe,
Over adversity they’ll soar.
My thanks go out to them.

Final Salute

Wednesday, February 18th, 2004

Dedicated to the men and women who risk thier lives daily to protect our freedom and our lives

Heads held high,
Our comrade we remember,
Never to forget,
Only to commemorate,
Remember the fallen heroes.

Maria

Wednesday, September 10th, 2003

Dedicated to my friend Maria, hope you had a happy birthday and that you have many more to come.

Most thankful I am to call you friend,
Always, both today and tomorrow.
Ready to help each other ’til the end,
In times of joy and of sorrow.
Always willing to be your friend.

Tragic

Thursday, September 4th, 2003

Dedicated to the men and women who risk their lives daily for others

The screams fill their ears.
Running to help despite their fears.
Always willing to help despite the price.
Going the extra mile, willing to sacrifice.
I wish to thank these unsung heroes.
Come on, we both know they are far from zeroes.

Thank You

Dedicated to Elle for starting me down the path of poetry

Thank you.
You showed me a way to express,
The feelings I have in a whole new way.
You opened a new door,
So I just want to say…
Thank you.

Forever Friend

Thursday, September 4th, 2003

Dedicated to Draxy

When I see you I’m greeted by your smile.
So I always want to stay and talk with you a while.

Even though we are not near.
You are always willing to lend an ear.

Though trials and tribulations may give me strife..
You always help me over the hurdles in my life.

When I’m with you I always feel bolder.
So, if you need one I’ll gladly share my shoulder.

Through good and bad I know we’ll stick together from beginning to end.
So I wrote this poem to thank you for being my forever friend.
