Broken pieces on the floor,
I still can’t believe it’s done.
Running the day through my head,
Thoughts of all the delightful fun.
Hard to picture the garbanzo’s flying,
Doubly so the fish,
Amazing how stunning the party was,
Yet I still hope I get my wish.
Can’t say a word,
Have to stay silent.
Aren’t you going to guess?
Really you should try.
Am I not being clear?
Do you not have a clue?
Eureka! You got it!
Shhhhh.. Now it’s your turn.
Going on forever,
One, two, three thousand results and more.
Overload of information,
Gadzooks, what am I in for?
Loads of places to go,
Eventually I may get to what I’m looking for.
Look at them go,
Every one of them following the last.
Makes me sad to see,
Most of their individuality is in the past.
I say just be yourself,
Not like every other ‘drone’.
Go and do something different,
Stop being a clone.
Oh how I dread it,
Anything but that.
Today, Tomorrow, every day it seems.
My taste buds would almost rather eat a hat.
Even my dog won’t eat the scraps anymore,
As another bowl is served.
Longing am I for something new for breakfast.
Frantically trying to get stuff done,
Running back and forth.
I feel like a great weight is on my shoulders,
Every burden seems to weigh a ton.
No rest for me,
Do it all now before I’m free.
So I’m thankful for my lifeline that helps me through to the end.
So many choices,
Too many it seems.
As I look at the menu,
Really I just want to scream.
By golly how many ways can one serve coffee?
Un or decaf, it used to be so easy.
Choose one or the other,
Kind of makes me uneasy.
So I guess I’ll just have some water.
Stepping into the open,
Hoping all will work out.
As you journey out into life,
Daring to roam about.
Only wishing to survive,
Wanting though to thrive.
So bold and yet so scared,
Oh, to know the final outcome.
For then all would be right,
Fearing the future could be glum.
Ready to give it a go,
Ever prepared to go with the flow.
Eternally seeking what isn’t there,
Daring to persevere.
Oh to know if it was real,
Maybe though it is only an illusion concealed.
Forever surrounded by those held dear,
Ready to just do everything.. or nothing.
I’m glad to have them all be they far or near,
Ever there for me in fall, winter, summer or spring.
Never far with a smile when I need a cheer,
Dare I hope they feel the same thing?
So many, helping me with the simple pleasures of life.
Moving forward,
Across the land.
Ready for anything,
Charging into the future.
Handling what comes,
In your own way.
Never wavering,
Going forward.
She watched as they danced,
Never quite wanting to land.
Over the ground they moved,
Wafting through the air.
Frozen ballerinas,
Leaping to and fro.
As they fell from heaven,
Kissing the earth below.
Eternally fragile and pretty,
So very lovely.
My heart sings along,
Every time I hear that song.
Loving every tone and sound,
Of all I know this is the best to be found.
Don’t know why other’s don’t rejoice,
Yet they too hear the sound of her voice.
As the car moves slowly upward,
Cruising at a steady pace.
Riders anticipating the thrill,
Our hearts ready to race.
Perhaps I’ll make it to the end,
Hopefully without passing out.
Or perhaps this is all a bad dream?
But if not I think I’ll shout.
In either case my screams you’ll hear,
As I try and figure out how you got me up here.
Going crazy,
Everywhere they surround me.
Running won’t help me escape,
More just follow me.
Somebody save me!
Swimming beneath the waves,
Colorful sights surround me.
Underwater visions in my sight,
Boats floating above me.
As I swim with the fish.
Looping through the air,
Air whistling in my ears.
Soon I’ll aim for the goal,
Soon I’ll throw my rope.
One day, I’ll win the rodeo.
I stare up in the sky
Mind wandering
As I lay upon the grass,
Going places in my head.
I see things there,
Never seen elsewhere,
And dream the dreams,
That need dreamed.
I soar up in the sky,
Only wishing to stay there.
Never to come down.

Rolling along the page.
Ongoing patterns,
See how they come together?
The letters leaving a message behind.
I so enjoy writing them.
Can’t you see why?
Quietly he sits and thinks,
Underneath the shady elm.
Ever wondering about life’s mysteries,
Searching for answers to this strange realm.
The answers seem so far away,
It seems he may never know.
One answer leads to more questions,
New paths to help him grow.
