Silent Killer

Swimming through the sea,
Unseen until it’s too late.
Approaching the unwitting prey,
A killer of white, so great.
It slowly circles it’s quarry,
Giving it no escape.
After the first bite it’s pretty much over,
For the victim it’s just too late.
No longer will it swim the ocean’s depths,
Or in a fish race be a winner.
No, today was it’s final swim,
For now it’s only dinner.
