Undeserved
I frown as I listen,
To the accusing tone.
I know I am innocent,
I feel so alone.
I silently wait,
For a chance to defend myself.
As much as I’d like to forget this,
I can”t just bury it on a shelf.
No, I need to stand up,
And tell them straight out.
No matter what they think,
I am innocent beyond a shadow of a doubt.
They still don;t listen,
Thinking I’m playing some game.
I sigh as I leave,
No time for this undeserved blame.
